Qingdao International Seed Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture jointly established by Qingdao Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd., and Tokuda Seeds Co., Ltd. in 1990. In March 2025, the shares of Qingdao International Seed held by Qingdao Academy of Agricultural Sciences were transferred to Qingdao Guoxin Modern Agriculture Group Co., Ltd., a directly-administered enterprise of Qingdao City, under the Qingdao Guoxin Group. Currently, the Chinese and Japanese shareholders are Qingdao Guoxin Modern Agriculture Group Co., Ltd. and Tokuda Seeds Co., Ltd., respectively. The company adheres to the business philosophy of leveraging the strengths of the Chinese nation, incorporating international excellence, and building a brand for the Chinese nation. After more than three decades of dedicated development, it has achieved remarkable success. The company integrates the breeding, production, processing, and promotion of improved varieties of cruciferous, solanaceous, and cucurbit crops, striving to become a specialized company that integrates seed breeding, multiplication, and promotion. The company comprises five departments: Research and Development, Production Management, Domestic Sales, International Business, and General Affairs. The company boasts a top-tier expert breeding team in China, a standardized and rigorous production management system, and a stable and reliable domestic marketing network. Guided by breeding innovation, the company adopts advanced breeding and seed collection techniques that combine traditional breeding methods with modern biotechnology. It introduces world-class complete sets of seed processing equipment and technologies for seed treatment, packaging, and storage, cultivating, producing, and selling new and excellent varieties of vegetables such as the "Qinmeng" brand early, mid, and late-maturing Chinese cabbage series, as well as cabbage, cucumber, radish, and Chinese cabbage series, suitable for different climatic regions and seasons. The improved Qingza No.3 Chinese cabbage variety cultivated by the company ranked first among the nine key varieties identified in the "National Crop Excellent Variety Promotion Catalogue" released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in February 2023.

The high-quality vegetable seeds cultivated by the company have been widely promoted and applied in more than 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country, and have been exported to Japan, South Korea, Russia, Canada, Sri Lanka, and other countries. In response to the needs of the domestic market, the company has also introduced various foreign high-quality vegetable seeds, which have played a positive role in promoting the production, processing, and export of domestic vegetables, earning the trust and praise of a wide range of users. Qingdao International Seed and Seedling Co., Ltd. has become a well-known brand enterprise in the vegetable seed industry nationwide, and was ranked first in the "Top Ten Brands of Seed and Seedling in China" in the national brand ranking list in 2018.

Looking back, Qingdao International Seedlings Co., Ltd. has achieved remarkable accomplishments over its thirty-plus years of establishment. For more than three decades, we have consistently adhered to the firm principle of "absorbing international advanced experience, promoting national innovation spirit, and forging a Chinese seed industry brand." Under the correct leadership of the board of directors and through the joint efforts of all employees, we have established the "Qinmeng" brand. We have successively developed superior new varieties of early, medium, and late-maturing as well as heat-resistant series of Chinese cabbage, kale, cucumbers, rapeseed, tomatoes, carrots, and other crops under the "Qinmeng" brand. These products have been widely sold across 23 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, and exported to countries such as Japan, the United States, Canada, Russia, and South Africa. They have earned the trust and praise of the seed industry and a broad user base, making significant contributions to the development of high-efficiency agriculture in China. The "Qinmeng" brand has deeply rooted itself in the hearts of farmers, becoming a well-known brand in the national vegetable seed industry.
